We are seeking a dedicated Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team at North Houston Endoscopy & Surgery. In this role, you’ll be a key part of our surgical recovery process, assisting clinical staff and providing direct patient support to ensure safe, smooth recoveries after procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living in the post-operative phase.
- Provide basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Support the clinical team in maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Assist with patient transport, monitoring, and discharge readiness.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow established recovery protocols.

Required Skills:
- Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
- Patient interviewing skills
- Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
- Familiarity with patient evaluation procedures
- Ability to perform routine invasive procedures such as venipuncture and EKG
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Adapts quickly to change; strong knowledge base related to surgical and recovery care
- Understands and applies principles of aseptic technique
- One year of relevant experience is preferred
- Prior experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is a plus
