- Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
- The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, has been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and Maternal Level IV designated facility
- Work hours: PRN, on an as needed basis, 6:45AM-7:15PM with weekend and holiday coverage
- As a regional referral center for high-risk deliveries, Texas Health Fort Worth offers advanced services for complex and high-risk infants – Over 600 NICU admissions per year
- 63-bed Level III Neonatal ICU/NICU: Utilize the following skills: Bubble CPAP, Conventional Ventilator, Oscillators, and JETs (high-frequency)
- Our Level III NICU is staffed 24 hours a day by neonatologists, pediatric sub-specialists, neonatal nurse practitioners and skilled registered nurses who are dedicated in providing experienced care to babies born with special health needs
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma
- BSN preferred
- CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
- One-year year experience as a clinical nursing (RN) in an acute care setting required.
- 2-years’ experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred
- 2-years current Neonatal ICU/NICU experience strongly preferred
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
- NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
- Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- The Charge Nurse
- will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team

- committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.
- evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
