Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical – PRN Nights

Work location: Center for Diagnostics and Surgery Plano, 6020 West Parker Rd. Plano, TX 75093

Work hours: PRN Nights (as needed ) hours varied

Medical Surgical Department Highlights

  • 18 beds 1:4 ratio fast paced, quick turnover, attention to detail
  • Cases include: urology, spine, ENT, ortho, plastics
  • Great leadership and a collaborative team environment

Here’s What You Need

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
  • RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
